What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do about it. Using PeachCam Live means you have read this.
This policy covers the PeachCam Live website, its mobile web experience, and the related services reached through them. It explains what information is collected, how it is used and stored, when it is shared, what rights you have over it, and how publicly visible content is handled.
If you do not agree with how this is described, please stop using the service. By continuing, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
Three sources: what you hand over, what your device reports automatically, and what a third-party sign-in passes across.
If you sign in through a third-party service, that service passes across the basic profile information you authorise it to share. What it sends is governed by your settings with that provider as well as by this policy.
This is the part people most often miss, so it gets its own section.
Content you publish publicly — a profile page, posts, uploaded media — can be seen by other people and may be indexed by search engines. That indexing is not under our control. If you delete or change such content, there may be a delay before search engine results reflect the change, because the search engine has to re-crawl the page before its own copy updates.
A two-way video room is not public content. Rooms are not recorded and are not stored by us. Recording the person you are talking to is prohibited by the community guidelines.
Cookies and comparable technologies are used to collect and store information while you use the platform. Broadly they fall into three groups:
Your browser controls what it accepts. Every mainstream browser can block or clear cookies, and the controls sit in its settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the service from working.
We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be shared in these situations, and not otherwise:
Personal information is retained for as long as it is needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed for those purposes, it is deleted or anonymised.
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to some or all of the following. To exercise any of them, write to [email protected].
We may need to verify who you are before acting on a request — that protection exists so that someone else cannot obtain or delete your data by asking.
PeachCam Live is not intended for anyone under 18, or under the minimum age that applies where they live if that age is higher.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under that age. If we become aware that we have, the account is removed and the information deleted. If you believe a minor is using the service, tell us at [email protected] — this is treated as urgent.
Technical and organisational measures are used to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and destruction. Passwords are never shared and are stored in encrypted form.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. Use a strong and unique password, do not reuse it elsewhere, and if you think your account has been accessed by someone else, contact us.
The platform may link to, or rely on, services operated by other companies — payment processors, sign-in providers, embedded content. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with information, and this policy does not extend to them. It is worth reading theirs before you use them.
This policy may be updated as the service changes or as legal requirements change. The current version always carries a review date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised policy, so it is worth re-reading when the date moves.
Questions about this policy, or any request about your own data, go to [email protected]. The contact page explains what to include so it can be dealt with in one reply.
