Getting in

Do I need an account to start?

No. Open the site, allow your camera when the browser asks, and tap once. There is no profile to fill in and no email to confirm. An optional account exists on the platform if you want extras, but nothing about starting a conversation requires one.

The browser is not asking for my camera. What now?

Most often the permission was denied earlier and the browser remembers it. Open the padlock or camera icon in the address bar, set camera and microphone back to Allow, then reload. On iOS, check Settings › Safari › Camera as well. If another app or tab is already using the camera, close it first — most systems only hand the camera to one place at a time.

Can I choose who I get matched with?

No. Matching is random and there is no filter for country, language or gender. If a room is not going anywhere, tap next — skipping costs nothing and nobody is notified.

Is it really free?

Opening the site, getting matched and talking are free, with no card required and no trial clock. Free here means free to use, not free for a while. The wider platform does sell optional extras such as coins and VIP-style benefits; you never have to touch them to hold a conversation.

When something is not working

The video is frozen, black or badly out of sync.

Reload the page first — it re-negotiates the connection and fixes most of these. If it keeps happening, try a different network (mobile data instead of a weak Wi-Fi, or the other way round), close other tabs using video, and check that a VPN or corporate proxy is not in the way. Battery-saver modes on phones will also throttle video.

Does it work on a phone without installing anything?

Yes, and that is how most people use it. It runs in the mobile browser off the front camera. Adding it to your home screen is optional; it opens fullscreen and starts faster, and closing the tab still leaves nothing to uninstall.

Safety, reports and restrictions

How do I report someone?

Report and block are both one tap away inside every room, and neither requires a reason. Reports are read by people, not only by automated filters. If you need to report something after leaving the room, mail us with roughly when it happened and what you saw.

What happens after I report someone?

The report is reviewed against the community guidelines. Outcomes range from a warning to removing access entirely, depending on what happened and whether it has happened before. We do not send a case-by-case report card, both for privacy reasons and because it would be trivially gameable.

Why was my access restricted?

Almost always a breach of the community guidelines — nudity or explicit behaviour, recording someone, harassing people after they said no, or being under 18. If you believe it was a mistake, mail support with the account details and what you were doing at the time.

Is anything recorded or saved?

Rooms are not recorded and are not stored by us. Recording the other person is against the rules and ends your access. What data the platform does hold, and for how long, is set out in the privacy policy.

Payments

I paid for something and it has not appeared.

Payment confirmations can lag behind the payment itself, so give it a few minutes and reload. If it still has not arrived, mail support with the date, the amount and the payment method — not the full card number. Refunds are handled case by case under the terms of service.

Still stuck

One address, read by people: [email protected]

Include what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead — plus your device and browser. That is usually enough to answer in one reply instead of four. What we can and cannot help with is set out on the contact page.

Something on this page is wrong or out of date.

Tell us and we will fix it. Every page on this site carries the date it was last reviewed, and corrections go to the same address as everything else.
