Copyright & Content Complaints

How to get infringing content removed, and how to contest a removal. One address handles both, in any jurisdiction.

What this page covers

Two different complaints arrive at the same place, so both are handled here:

  • Copyright — material on the platform that reproduces work you own.
  • Your own likeness — someone using an image of you, or circulating a recording of you taken from a room.

Rooms themselves are not recorded and not stored by us, so there is no archive to pull a conversation from. What can be acted on is material that persists on the platform, and accounts that recorded or redistributed someone.

Sending a notice

Mail [email protected] with the subject line Copyright, and include:

  • Where the material is — an exact link, account name, or both. "Somewhere on your site" cannot be acted on.
  • What the material is, and what it reproduces or whose likeness it uses.
  • Why you hold the right, or that the likeness is yours.
  • A statement that you believe the use is not authorised by the rights holder or by law.
  • A way to reach you, and your name or the name of the entity you act for.

We accept notices from any jurisdiction. The slug on this page is copyright rather than dmca deliberately — you do not need to be in the United States, and you do not need to cite a specific statute for us to look at it.

What happens next

  • You get an acknowledgement that the notice arrived.
  • A person reviews it. Clear cases are actioned without waiting for anything else.
  • Where material is removed, the account responsible is told what was removed and why — which is what makes a dispute possible.
  • Repeat infringement ends access. That is a policy, not a discretionary call.

Unlike a room report — where outcomes are deliberately not reported back, to protect the people involved — a rights holder is a party to the complaint and does get told the outcome.

If you think a removal was wrong

Mail the same address with what was removed and why you believe you had the right to post it. It is read by a person. If the counter-notice holds up, the material goes back and we say so.

Filing a notice you know to be false, in either direction, is itself a misuse of this channel and is treated as one.

What this page is not for

Rule-breaking inside a room — harassment, nudity, anyone under 18 — is faster to handle through report and block in the room itself, and through the community guidelines. Anything involving a minor should go through child safety, which is handled ahead of everything else.
